Nigeria To Experience Total Blackout As Workers Proceed On Indefinite Strike Tomorrow
The organized Labour in the Power sector will tomorrow Wednesday proceed on indefinite strike over pending Labour issues with the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN
If this threat is by workers is not immediately avert by government, Nigerians should get ready to generate power through other means.
The total blackout will be arising from the threat by ’members of the organized Labour in the Power sector to shut down tools and commence an indefinite strike over pending Labour issues with the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.
It was gathered that the furious workers under the aegis of the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, as a prelude to the strike, picketted the Abuja national Headquatres of TCN Tuesday, August 16.
In a circular by the General Secretary of NUEE, Joe Ajaero, titled “Call for Action”, to Senior Assistant General Secretaries and Zonal Organising Secretaries dated August 15, 2022, the Union directed them to ensure total compliance of the strike.
