NUC to Evaluate IRPM, Geography and Planning, M.Sc Finance Programmes at LASU
Today, Wednesday, 22nd November 2023, it’s the turn of three programmes – B.Sc Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, B.Sc Geography and Planning, and M.Sc Finance – to face accreditation by National Universities Commission (NUC) teams, which arrived on the campus and immediately paid courtesy visits to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM at the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Chamber of the University.
The IRPM team, led by Prof. Olajide Patrick; the Geography and Planning team led by Prof. Bala Dogo and the M.Sc Finance team led by Prof. Mohammed Sabari were received by the two Deputy Vice Chancellors, Prof. Adenike Boyo and Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan who took turns to act on behalf of the Vice Chancellor at the visits.
They handed the visiting teams to the respective Deans of Faculties, Prof. O.E Ajiboye who stood in for the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Prof. Raheem Akewushola of the Management Sciences.
Members of the University Management and Professors and Heads of concerned Departments were also at the meetings.
Later in the day, the accreditation team assessing the Transport Management programme concluded its assignment and submitted its report to the Vice Chancellor through the team leader, Prof. C.C. Ibe.
Members of the University Management and Faculty led by the Dean, Prof. Charles Asenime and former Dean, Prof. Samuel G. Odewumi present at the meeting were highly impressed by the feedback received from the team leader, Prof. Ibe.
