Governor Ademola Adeleke, of Osun State visited President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the first time after his inauguration as governor in November 2022.
After the meeting in the president’s office, Adeleke informed reporters that he had come to the White House to welcome the president and express his gratitude for approving the Electoral Act, which had made it possible for him to win the governorship.
Adeleke, who was elected on the platform of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said th at Buhari appeared healthy and attractive and that the president’s move paved the way for free and fair elections in the state.
Governor Adeleke mentioned how the conduct of the exercise had received praise from Nigerians and the international community.
Adeleke stated that he will have the chance to speak with Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the President’s Chief of Staff, about other matters of federal assistance during his visit to the estate.

“Well, am delighted to inform you that I just saw the president looking so well, looking so well and am happy about that,” he responded when asked why he had come to the mansion.
Since I was elected, I’ve been compelled to see the President and express my gratitude for his signature on the Electoral Act because I must have profited from it.
Governor Adeleke continued, “That made way for completely impartial elections. The entire international community is praising Nigeria and declaring that it is ready for democracy.
Therefore, I’m here to see him, thank him, and wish him well for the remainder of his term in office.
Beyond that, he continued, he had already proposed a few more things and would meet with the Chief of Staff to talk about how the federal government could continue to support State.
