ASUU Meets FG In Court Today Over Prolong Strike

Academic Staff Union of Universities,
ASUU, and Federal Government are set to meet in the National Industrial Court, NIC, over the prolong industrial action that has lasted seven months.

The National Industrial Court, NIC, on September 9 summoned the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to appear before it on Monday September 12 in Abuja.

The letter of summon issued by the court
on September 9 and signed by the Chief
Registrar indicated that the National
Industrial Court sitting would be at No 11,
New-Bussa close, Area 3, Garki Abuja, on
Monday 12th September 2022, at 9 am.

The summon is coming on the heels of the
Federal Government’s decision to refer the
trade dispute between it and ASUU to the
NIC.
