Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja set January 30 as the deadline for a decision in a suit seeking to depose President Muhammadu Buhari and halt the conduct of the 2023 presidential election.

The date was fixed following the adoption of final addresses by President Buhari, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the plaintiff, Chief Ambrose Albert Owuru. The judge then set the judgment date.
