The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has thwarted multiple drug smuggling attempts, seizing large consignments of heroin, cannabis, and tramadol at Nigeria’s major airports and highways.

🔎 Dual Identity Drug Kingpin Nabbed in Port Harcourt
🛑 Suspect: Onyekwonike Elochuckwu Sylvanus (alias Kargbo Mohamed Foday)
🛑 Age: 30
🛑 Arrested at: Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA)
🛑 Flight Route: Qatar Airways (Doha → Abuja → Port Harcourt)
🛑 Method: Ingested 62 wraps of heroin (1.348kg)
🛑 Smuggling Route: Thailand, Pakistan, Iran & West Africa
🔎 Lagos Airport Interception – 909g of Heroin Seized
🛑 Suspect: James Herbert Chinoso
🛑 Age: 48
🛑 Arrested at: Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos
🛑 Flight Route: Madagascar → Addis Ababa → Lagos
🛑 Method: Ingested 63 wraps of heroin (909g)
🛑 Backstory: Former phone accessories dealer in Liberia turned drug trafficker
🔎 Courier Drug Bust in Lagos
📦 Seizure: 2.82kg of Loud (synthetic cannabis) from the U.S.
📦 Seizure: 80 ampoules of pentazocine (opioid painkiller) concealed in cartons, destined for Canada
🔎 Kano, Kogi, and Jigawa Drug Crackdowns
🔸 Kano: 15,396 tramadol pills concealed in a gas cylinder seized at Gadar Tamburawa
🔸 Kano: 27 blocks of skunk (15kg) recovered from female suspect Choima Okeke, 35
🔸 Kogi: 12,800 tramadol pills and 1.6kg of Colorado cannabis seized from suspects en route to Jigawa
