Festus Keyamo (SAN), the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has disclosed that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s name was excluded from the list of campaign council members as a result of direct instruction from President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement released on Saturday, Festus Keyamo said that Buhari had ordered the exclusion of the names of Osinbajo and Mr. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), so that they could focus on governance.

Festus Keyamo emphasised that the APC, which is currently in power, was given the authority by the Nigerian people to govern the nation on their behalf, at least until May 29, 2023, and that the party intended to carry out this mandate with the utmost sense of responsibility.

“As a responsible Party and Government, all of the senior officials cannot resign from their posts to participate in electioneering campaigns. The APC has the mandate of the Nigerian people to govern the nation on their behalf for at least another two years, until May 29, 2023, and we plan to carry out this mandate with the utmost sense of responsibility.
