The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Prof. Tunji Olaopa as the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

Prof. Oloyede made this commendation when Prof. Olaopa paid him a courtesy visit at the JAMB headquarters in Bwari, Abuja. He described the newly appointed FCSC Chairman as an erudite scholar, veteran administrator, and a symbol of excellence in multiple fields, including academia, public administration, and politics.

“He is one of our brains, our pride in the South West, and a master of all trades. I thank the President for appointing such an outstanding individual,” Oloyede stated.

JAMB-FCSC Collaboration to Drive Digital Transformation

During the meeting, the JAMB Registrar emphasized the crucial role of FCSC in addressing national challenges through efficient governance. He urged FCSC staff to support Prof. Olaopa’s vision in transforming the Commission into a world-class institution.

Prof. Oloyede pledged JAMB’s commitment to leveraging its expertise in Computer-Based Testing (CBT) to enhance the FCSC’s recruitment and promotion processes. He highlighted that JAMB partners with organizations based on credibility and integrity, not financial gains, making FCSC a trusted institution for collaboration.

Additionally, the JAMB Registrar advised FCSC to digitize its recruitment process before extending digital transformation to its broader operations.

In response, Prof. Tunji Olaopa commended JAMB’s remarkable achievements, particularly its adoption of international best practices that have enhanced integrity, transparency, and accountability in the Board’s operations.

He stated that his visit aimed at strengthening FCSC’s ongoing reforms by utilizing JAMB’s technological infrastructure for recruitment and promotion exercises. The JAMB Registrar praised Prof. Oloyede’s leadership, describing him as a national icon and an exemplary administrator.
