The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has swung into action, as it impounded 40 illegally parked trailers, trucks, and tankers under the flyover bridges in the Costain to the Iganmu area of the state.
The agency’s General Manager, Bolaji Oreagba revealed this on Monday in a statement signed by the agency’s Director, Public Affairs Unit, Adebayo Taofiq.
He stated that the enforcement operations, which were led by the Director of Operations, Peter Gbedemeje, were carried out in conjunction with the seven-day removal order served to owners of such vehicles at Ijora and the Mobil road area of Iganmu. More of this story can be found at Credible News .

The head of Operations while commending the voluntary compliance of drivers stated that the exercise would be continued and would be extended to other States. He also added that the owners of the contravened vehicles would be charged to court accordingly.
He said, “the cleanup would be a continuous exercise and would be extended to other states to checkmate criminal activities across the states.
“We are happy with the level of voluntary compliance by the owners, drivers of the illegally parked trucks including other illegal workshops such as iron benders, mechanics, and food vendors.”
