From the very start, the atmosphere carried a sense of expectancy. Women filled the venue with anticipation, ready to reconnect with God and rediscover purpose. The Mighty Women of Valour Programme was carefully structured to move beyond surface inspiration, drawing participants into moments of deep reflection, spiritual conviction, and transformation.
Declaring the essence of the gathering, Professor Akinniyi told the audience that the programme was more than an event. According to her, it was a divine summons.
“This is not just a meeting,” she said. “This is a gathering of daughters, intercessors, warriors, and destiny carriers. An army of women is rising.”
Worship Sets the Tone for Transformation
The programme opened with extended praise and worship that created a reverent and reflective mood across the hall. Voices rose in unity as worship songs focused hearts on surrender, gratitude, and spiritual renewal. Many participants described the worship session as a gateway that prepared their hearts for what followed.
During the opening prayer, Professor Akinniyi committed every woman and every concern into God’s hands. She prayed for divine clarity, fresh encounters, and lasting fruit, stressing that the Mighty Women of Valour Programme was designed to spark genuine transformation rather than fleeting emotions.
She urged participants to approach the gathering with open hearts and expectant faith, assuring them that God was ready to meet each woman at her point of need.
Returning to the Heart of God
Delivering the keynote message, Professor Akinniyi spoke on the theme “Mighty Women of Valour: Returning to the Heart of God.” She emphasized that true strength and spiritual authority flow from total surrender to Jesus Christ, not from religious activity alone.
Referencing 2 Corinthians 5:17, she reminded the audience that real transformation begins with new life in Christ. According to her, a woman cannot fully walk in divine purpose or carry spiritual authority without a personal relationship with Christ.
She challenged women to examine their walk with God honestly, urging them to move away from routine faith toward authentic intimacy with God. In her words, valor starts in the heart, where obedience, humility, and love for God are firmly rooted.
Salvation Call Marks a Turning Point
One of the most emotional moments of the Mighty Women of Valour Programme came during the salvation call. With compassion and clarity, Professor Akinniyi invited women seeking restoration, renewal, or a fresh start with God to respond.
She addressed those weighed down by past mistakes, emotional wounds, fear, or spiritual distance, reminding them that God’s arms remain open. Several women responded, praying the salvation prayer and making renewed commitments to Christ.
New converts were prayed for and encouraged with affirmations of forgiveness, spiritual rebirth, and divine empowerment.
“Your journey of valor begins now,” Professor Akinniyi declared, welcoming them into the family of God and a growing community of faith-driven women.
Vision, Mission, and 25 Years of Purpose
Reflecting on 25 years of ministry, Professor Akinniyi highlighted the vision behind the Mighty Women of Valour Programme. She explained that the mission has always centered on drawing women into deeper intimacy with God while equipping them to influence their homes, families, and communities.
Quoting Psalm 42:1, she described the ministry’s desire to raise women who hunger for God and find their identity in His presence. She noted that the journey has never been about shallow Christianity but about cultivating consistent spiritual depth.
Beyond spiritual teaching, she added that the ministry has demonstrated practical compassion over the years, particularly through support for widows and vulnerable families, in line with biblical principles.
Seven Pillars for a Deeper Walk
A major teaching segment of the programme focused on seven pillars designed to guide women into sustained spiritual growth. These pillars included knowing God personally, maintaining daily fellowship through prayer and Scripture, obedience born out of love, complete trust in God, growing in Christlikeness, living in God’s presence and peace, and loving God wholeheartedly.
Professor Akinniyi cautioned against divided loyalties and superficial spirituality. She encouraged women to live lives marked by integrity, consistency, and faith, describing mighty women of valor as prayerful women who trust God completely.
Declarations, Identity, and Hope Ahead
The programme concluded with powerful collective declarations as women affirmed their identity as mighty women of valor, intercessors, gatekeepers, and carriers of God’s glory. The declarations focused on victory, spiritual authority, family alignment, and unwavering faith.
Drawing inspiration from Proverbs 31:25, Professor Akinniyi described the women as clothed in strength and honour, with a future filled with hope. She offered prophetic prayers for the ministry’s next chapter, asking for deeper roots in Christ, stronger families, supernatural provision for widows, and sustained impact.
A Call to Stay Rooted and Radiant
In her closing remarks, Professor Akinniyi thanked participants for their loyalty, prayers, and sacrifices over the past 25 years. She charged them to remain rooted in Christ, fearless in faith, and radiant in purpose.
As attendees departed, many described the Mighty Women of Valour Programme as refreshing, timely, and spiritually grounding, reinforcing its central message: women anchored in God will continue to rise in strength, honour, and divine influence.
