Military Vows to Protect Nigeria’s Critical Assets Amid Rising Oil Facility Attacks

He reiterated that the army is fully prepared to prevent further destruction of Nigeria’s energy infrastructure.

“The Armed Forces of Nigeria will not sit idly by and allow criminals to destroy critical national infrastructure. Our personnel are strategically positioned to safeguard these assets,” he stated.

Oil Theft and Illegal Refining Operations Foiled

Providing updates on security efforts in the South-South region, Maj.-Gen. Kangye revealed that troops of Operation Delta Safe successfully foiled oil theft operations worth approximately ₦461.7 million in just one week.
