The Nigerian Governors’ Forum, which comprises 36 state governors, has been criticised by a coalition of human rights organisations for its refusal to pay consultants involved in the $13 billion Paris Club refunds.
The CSO said that Nigerians should reject the Nigerian Governors’ Forum’s demand to prevent the payment of consultants who assisted in the recovery of the fund.
According to the CSOs, “some interested parties in the Nigerian Governors’ Forum are making active efforts to conceal the facts in order to steer the narratives to fit their nefarious goals and interests.” You can read more such stories at Credible News.

Remember that in January 2021, LINAS International Limited and former House of Representatives member Hon. Ned Nwoko revealed how they had received threats in their efforts to sort out the excess charges and over deductions in Paris Club advances, for which the Federal Government had refunded $13 billion to States and Local Government Areas.
ALGON’s interim management committee, or IMC, at the time disassociated the organisation from the Federal Government’s plan to pay Linas and Ned Nwoko’s past-due consulting fees, but Mr Kolade Alabi, national president of ALGON, and others who confirmed Nwoko’s engagement dismissed the IMC as nonexistent.
