NSCDC Enhances Security Structure in Kwara State

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has bolstered its operational capacity by establishing seven new Area Commands and 11 Divisions across the state’s 16 Local Government Areas.
Objective of the Expansion
According to a statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, Ayoola Michael ASC, on behalf of the Kwara State Commandant, Umar Muhammed, the expansion is aimed at:
- Strengthening security in rural areas.
- Addressing criminality across all communities.
- Enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.
The development aligns with the directives of the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, as part of the Corps’ strategy to fulfill its core mandates.

Operational Status
The newly established Area Commands and Divisions have commenced operations. The public is encouraged to cooperate with personnel to ensure the success of these initiatives.

Commandant Umar Muhammed reaffirmed the Corps’ dedication to preventing Kwara State from becoming a haven for criminal elements.
