Flood Victims Get Relief Supplies From Rivers’ Governor
George Nwaeke, the chairman of the state task force on flood management, said that the Rivers State Government has started providing flood victims residing in IDP camps in the state’s Ahoada East and Ahoada West Local Government Areas with relief supplies.
Speaking to the victims, George Nwaeke, the chairman of the state task force on flood management, said they were at the camp to help the victims in keeping with the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who had made a pledge.
In addition to the food that was provided to the victims, according to Nwaeke, who is also the Permanent Secretary of Special Services in the office of the Secretary to the State Government, the state government also stationed health and environmental officers at the camp to conduct examinations and provide medical attention.

Nwaeke claimed that because Wike was worried about the situation of the people, supplying palliatives to the flood victims was a continual procedure.
He urged the victims to live in harmony and togetherness and gave the camp organiser instructions to make sure the food was distributed equally among the IDPs.

We soon left and returned to deliver food and other supplies for you, as well as some consolation.
Ben Eke, the Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, informed the crowd during his speech that there would be sufficient security at the camp to guarantee both the protection of the people and the delivery of the supplies to the affected individuals.
