The Peoples Democratic Party is undergoing a fresh crisis as the National Working Committee is seeking the whereabouts of the N10 billion nomination fees paid by candidates during the party primary election.
It is crucial to keep in mind that the Peoples Democratic Party sold its presidential nomination and expression of interest form during the primary election for N40 million, while the governorship costs N21 million, the Senate N3.5 million, the House of Representatives N2. 5 million, and the House of Assembly N600,000 respectively.
According to information obtained, a section within the party is seeking to cover up the enormous sum of money by offering each member of the National Working Committee, NWC , N28 million in order to avert any additional crises inside the party.

The bribe, however, was rejected by several NWC members, who also demanded responsibility and the explanation for the money’s reduction from N10 billion to N1 billion.
According to the allegation, some of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s disgruntled supporters were pressing for accountability to put further pressure on Ayu to leave.
According to reports, Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, stunned PDP NWC members by purportedly giving the party N1 billion prior to the presidential primaries.
Remember that Governor Wike said in a media interview on Friday that the opposition party’s chairman had taken N1 billion from the party prior to the PDP primary and had neglected to return it.
