Vice President Ksahim Shettima urged the presidential candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement, Chichi Ojei, Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday to work with the Tinubu administration to create a new Nigeria.
Shettima said: “On behalf of my principal, I wish to call on Wazirin Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar, and Mr. Peter Obi, my very good friend, to join hands with us to build a new Nigeria,” Shettima said shortly after the five Justices on the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal unanimously upheld President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
The head of the five-person panel, Judge Haruna Tsammani, read the decision earlier and stated, “This petition obviously lacks merit. I reaffirm Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection as the legitimate leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The costs are to be borne by the parties. \s
After that, the challenges filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP disputing Tinubu’s election as president as proclaimed by the Independent National Election Commission on March 1, 2023, were each unanimously dismissed by the four other justices.

The three aggregated petitions from CAPPC/03/2023, CAPPC/04/2023, and CAPPC/05/2023 were dismissed by the Court during the 12-hour hearing for a number of reasons, including lack of merit. \s
Shettima also urged the opponents to put aside their differences and work together to strengthen the country.
