The United Kingdom has issued a warning that terrorists are preparing an attack on the United States and has instructed its residents there to exercise caution and stay away from public gatherings.
In an updated travel warning issued to British citizens on Friday in the US, the UK stated that the terrorists may target crowded venues, locations where foreigners congregate, or transit hubs.
A week ago, the US and the UK issued security alerts warning that terrorists were preparing an attack on Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
Terrorists are quite likely to attempt to carry out strikes in the USA, according to the UK. Attacks could occur randomly, including in busy venues, transportation hubs, and locations frequented by tourists. You should keep an eye on news reports and be cautious.
On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States.
Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorists attack, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.

The hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with the militant Islamist group al-Qaeda. They hailed from four countries; 15 of them were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one was from Lebanon, and one from Egypt.
To carry out the attacks, the terrorist hijackers were organized into four teams, each led by a pilot-trained hijacker who would commandeer the flight with three or four “muscle hijackers,” who were trained to help subdue the pilots, passengers, and crew. Each team was assigned a different flight and given a unique target to crash their respective planes into.
The first hijackers to arrive in the United States were Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, who settled in San Diego County, California, in January 2000.
They were followed by three terrorist hijacker pilots, Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi, and Ziad Jarrah in mid-2000 to undertake flight training in South Florida. The fourth hijacker pilot, Hani Hanjour, arrived in San Diego in December 2000. The rest of the “muscle hijackers” came early- and mid-2001. The rest is history.
