Tinubu Reshuffles Ministerial Portfolios, Names New Niger Delta Minister

The shifting of portfolios to some of the minister-designates has been approved by President Bola Tinubu, disclosed Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity. He said this in a statement on Sunday.

In accordance with the announcement, Adegboyega Oyetola was transferred to the position of Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, while Abubakar Momoh was transferred from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

Nevertheless, Ajuri pointed out that the Federal Ministry of Youth would shortly be transferred to a minister-designate.

Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and Hon. Sa’idu Alkali, who were reassigned as the Interior and Transportation Ministers, are two other prospective cabinet members. Relevant News

Ajuri revealed a recent development: the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources has served as the residence for both Ministers of State in charge of the oil and gas industry.

On this point, Ajuri announced that Senator Ekperipe Ekpo has been named the Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources, and Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has been given the portfolio of Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.

“The Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management has been renamed as the Federal Ministry of Environment, with the president’s approval. By virtue of the President’s directions, the aforementioned modifications all take effect right away, the statement continued.
