Woman Steps Out of Cab and Jumps Into Lagoon

A woman in her thirties has made the decision to take her own life by plunging off the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State into the lagoon.

The woman stepped out of the cab and moved toward the bridge’s railing before falling into the sea, according to the Daily Trust.

In a status report, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, stated that a search and rescue team had been dispatched to seek for the missing woman. You can read more of such stories at Credible News.


“Upon the arrival of the LRT at the incident scene, an investigation revealed that a woman in her late thirties (30s) dove into the Lagos lagoon,” he stated.

“Further investigation showed that the lady got out of an Uber taxi on the bridge and dove into the lagoon,” the report continued.

The cab driver reported the woman was engaged in a contentious argument with her fiancé before getting out of the car, according to the LASEMA chairman.

He continued, “The Department of State Service (DSS) officials, LASWA, and LRT men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are currently on the scene and working better together to search for the victim.
