Pearson Edexcel International licenses new centre in Nigeria

Pearson Edexcel International, the UK’s largest awarding organisation offering academic, vocational, and work-based learning qualifications, recently accredited D-Ivy Sixth Form College in Lagos as a Pearson Edexcel Programme Center.

The Pearson Edexcel delegation was led by Mr. Gabriel Sowah Mensah, Regional Development Manager—West Africa, who made the presentation to Dr. Mrs. Oyinlola Ilo, Executive Director, D-Ivy Sixth Form College, in company of Mrs. Erinma Odibo, School Administrator at D-Ivy Sixth Form College.

It’s believed that the accreditation of D-Ivy Sixth Form College would further strengthen the school’s educational system and bring closer international collaborations in the education system in Nigeria.

Pearson Edexcel International gives students the opportunity to write multiple examinations throughout the year.

The exams are spread throughout the course, with multiple examination opportunities in January, June, and October in most subjects.

Our findings revealed that revision is broken down into unit-sized chunks, and there are fewer “all-or-nothing” exam periods, enabling learners to focus their revision on fewer exams at a time.
