YABATECH Receives GovTech Trailblazer Award for Innovation Among Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria
The most prestigious polytechnic in Nigeria, Yaba College of Technology, or YABATECH, has won the pioneer award for being the most cutting-edge federal polytechnic in the country.
Yesterday, October 13, 2023, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), a department of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s presidency, presented the award.
Speaking on behalf of the College, Mr. Adekunle Yesouf, the college bursar, accepted it.The Prize is given to the most innovative federal polytechnics in Nigeria. It recognises the greatest Nigeria GovTech.
The Award is a testament to the success of the ERECT Agenda under the direction of Dr. Engr Abdul Ibraheem, the college’s rector, who has a strong commitment to generating graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, employable, entrepreneurial, self-reliant, and inventive.
It is his mission to provide a conducive aesthetically pleasing and safe campuses with state-of-the-art learning environment, functional laboratories, workshop amenities and excellent research facilities.
Engr Abdul is erecting the college for the future with a view to consolidate on the past and shape the future of the seventy—six years old Premier institution as her seventh Rector.
