After Kritsada, 35, shot his wife Pitsamai, 31, there was a six-hour police standoff.

Eyewitnesses said that after Pitsamai requested a separation, the couple’s dispute became more heated and significantly strained their marriage.

When Kritsada shut himself inside their home, the police surrounded it and started talking to him.

After a tense standoff lasting six hours, Kritsada gave up.

Attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition are the current charges against Kritsada.

Pitsamai, the shooting victim, is reportedly safe and receiving medical attention.
