Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Adekunle has been chosen by the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Governing Council to serve as the institution’s next bursar.
Beginning on November 3, 2022, Adekunle will serve as the UNILAG bursar for five years.
This is stated in a statement issued on Thursday by UNILAG’s communication unit.
The announcement read, “The Governing Council of the University of Lagos accepted the nomination of Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Yetunde Adekunle as the next Bursar of the University during its meeting on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

“Her appointment is for five (5) years, beginning on November 3, 2022.
Adekunle graduated from UNILAG with an accounting bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN).
Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Yetunde Adekunle succeeds Dr Lekan Lawal, whose term as bursar expires on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
Meanwhile, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka will disclose the name of the next vice chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, who will succeed him today Friday, October 7.
Ogundipe, a botany professor and the university’s 12th vice chancellor, will step down in early November when his five-year term as vice chancellor expires.
Dr. Olanrewaju Tejuosho, the university’s provost and chairman of the governing council, made the announcement on Monday at the college of medicine in Idi Araba during a ceremony honouring the university’s 60th anniversary.
According to him, the new vice chancellor will be disclosed and introduced on Friday, and the hiring process is nearing completion.
