Inter-Party Advisory Council Rejects Tinubu, Says It Never Endorsed Any Party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate was never endorsed by the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Northern Chairmen Forum, according to their statement.

The forum’s disclaimer was included in a statement released on Thursday by its secretary, Mikaila Abubakar, who also serves as the IPAC state chapter chairperson for Kaduna.

The statement read: “The attention of the northern IPAC chairmen forum has been drawn to the fraudulent activities of some individuals, led by one Dr. Ahmad Ahmad, using the names of our members and other political parties’ candidates across the 19 Northern states to garner support for the APC presidential candidate in the upcoming elections.”

It claimed that making such an endorsement was “unimaginable.”

“Anyone who may be interested should be made aware unequivocally that he has never met Dr. Ahmad Ahmad or any of his business partners anywhere, at any time.

“Even though our Forum is authorised to endorse or support any Presidential Candidate, we have about five better options among the opposition political parties,” the statement read.

If Dr. Ahmad does not offer an unqualified apology, the Forum warned that it may decide to take legal action.

Dr. Ahmad Ahmad must immediately apologise to us, or else legal action would be launched against him, it stated.

The Forum urged people in question to ignore any publication by Dr. Ahmad and his associates that used the names of any of its members.

To ensure that Arewa makes the right decision in 2023, the statement said, “We shall not relent on voter education programmes in the Northern states.”
