Sowore Gets Donations For 2023 Presidential Campaign

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has been funding his campaign with donations from Nigerians both at home and abroad in preparation for the 2023 general election.

The donations were made during a virtual fundraising event on Sunday called “Sowore Campaign Global Mega Fundraising.”

The initial donation came from a Nigerian living in the UK by the name of Folyjesus, who gave 100 pounds. A second donor who goes by the name of Papzo gave N200,000.

Ikeche Anyawu, Oxley, and Moyinoluwa each contributed N100,000. Alex Adeniyi gave N10,000, Olubunmi gave N50,000, and Chartered gave N20,000.

Detoun gave N5,000, Favour gave 50 Euros, and Durotimi Timis gave N25,000. Adeola and Solomon withheld the financial details of their donations.

Kingmax Robin, a different Nigerian with a foreign address, gave Sowore $1,000.

Sowore who thanked the contributors for their assistance exclaimed, “I am extremely pleased that while I was participating in the presidential townhall series, our countrymen were simultaneously watching and raising money.

“We are determined to let the people own the race and our goal is to put liberty on the ballot. I appreciate everyone who expressed support for the sincere, populist campaign building up to 2023, he continued.

Vanguard reports that the contributions have begun to come in days after Loretta Oladayo, a young woman, launched a N1 million donation challenge in support of the Sowore’s campaign.

Remember how Oladayo announced the challenge on Twitter and then tweeted to demonstrate that she had received her N1 million gift.
