Panic and fear have engulfed the international airport axis of Lagos State as the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Monday blocked the roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to NANS leadership, the mass action is in continuation of their protest against the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The frustrated undergraduates who were ready to damned the consequences of their actions, defied the heavy downpour to press home their demands.
The angry protesting university students carried placards chanting Aluta songs, calling on the Federal Government to accede to the demands of ASUU.
However, their actions have triggered a heavy gridlock on the road leading to the airport leaving many travellers stranded.
Detail coming shortly.
