Mauritania Pleased With Buhari’s Performance, Invites Him For Peace Prize
Very pleased with President Muhammadu Buhari’s inputs in promoting peace in Africa, Mauritania has invited him for Peace Prize,
For the official engagements, President Muhammadu Buhari will travel from Abuja to Nouakchott, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, on Monday.
Buhari will be presented with the African Award for promoting peace while in Nouakchott.
His spokeswoman, Femi Adesina, announced that the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum will present him with the honour.

“President Muhammadu Buhari will receive the African Award for Strengthening Peace on Tuesday, January 18, 2023 in Nouakchott, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, for his leadership role in promoting peace on the continent through consistent inventions, counsel, and conciliatory position,” read the statement.
“The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, an assembly of leaders founded in 2014 to pursue new methods to embrace inclusive citizenship, promote lasting peace, and work toward a safer and more sustainable world for everyone, will deliver the award to President Buhari.
“The President will participate in the Program of the Third Forum of the African Conference for Peace, where he will deliver a speech on milestones and gains in the African peace process, before the international recognition for serving Nigeria, and the greater cause of peace in Africa.”
