IPOB Says Biafrans Should Ignore Ekpa’s Sit-At-Home Order
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has urged its members and residents in the south-east region to disregard Nnamdi Kanu’s self-proclaimed disciple, Simon Ekpa’s, demand for a 5-day sit-at-home exercise.
In response to Ekpa’s earlier demand that people boycott social and economic activities from December 9 to 14, IPOB maintained it did not issue any sit-at-home orders.
According to the IPOB member based in Finland, the sit-in will function as a protest in Igbo land against the upcoming general elections next year.
In response to the call, IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful said in a statement on Tuesday, “The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu wish to state unequivocally to the people of Biafra, friends of Biafra, and lovers of Biafra freedom that IPOB leadership did not issue any sit-at-home order on the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, or 14th of
“IPOB never issued a sit-at-home order on the aforementioned days since we are not miscreants, senseless, or jobless individuals.”
“Every Biafran and inhabitant of Biafra Land should disregard such orders from unskilled and brainless individuals whose goal is to make the Biafra agitation unappealing to our people.” On those days, every Biafran must go about their daily routine.”

“IPOB cannot give such brainless uncaring 5-day straight sit-at-home order to afflict our people during this important time of year when individuals are striving to make up in their enterprises for the year,” the statement continued.
“Their goal is to create insecurity and undue suffering in order to force our people to abandon Biafra’s liberation.” What a jerk!”
IPOB also urged those who want a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to do so because it is their right while emphasising that the group is not interested in elections.
“Once again, everyone has the right to go to their polling and registration centres and receive their PVC without being harassed.” IPOB has never boycotted elections and has no involvement with Nigerian elections.
“Our people should be ready to confront any fool who dares to impose such heinous sit-at-home policy.” Furthermore, ESN and IPOB volunteers will be present on these dates to protect our people and markets.”
