Elon Musk Vows To Suspend Fake Twitter Accounts

Elon Musk, the newly appointed Twitter CEO, has announced on Monday via a series of tweets that people with fake Twitter accounts would be suspended without further delay.

He said that it would permanently suspend impersonation accounts that do not expressly indicate “parody.”

The suspension, according to The Chief Twit, who goes by that name, would occur once the platform had rolled out widespread verification.

According to Musk, any Twitter accounts using impersonation in the future without explicitly stating “parody” will be permanently terminated.

“In the past, we have given notice before suspension; but, since we are doing widespread verification, there will be no notice.

This will be made clear as a requirement for joining Twitter Blue. You can read more of such stories at Credible News.

The checkmark on any verified account will temporarily disappear if the name changes, he added.

Musk assured users of Twitter’s right to free expression by saying, “My dedication to free speech extends even to not banning the account tracking my plane, even though that is a clear risk to my personal safety.”

The $8 monthly price for the blue tick verification badge, which is used to identify public persons, has been disclosed by the Tesla Boss.

In addition, he stated that broad verification will strengthen “the voice of the people” and that Twitter’s goal is to become the most accurate information source about the world.

Musk said, “Twitter needs to emerge as the world’s most reliable information source. That is our goal.

The voice of the people will be strengthened by widespread verification, which will democratise media.
