Wike Confirms N2 Billion Palliative Approval for FCT Amidst Challenging Times
The approval of two billion naira as a palliative for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by President Bola Tinubu has been confirmed by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the FCT.
At the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of the current administration on Monday, Wike had a meeting with contractors in his office and revealed this information.
The minister announced the approval and said the fund would largely address the transit issue.
He said that while the Federal Government is seeking to enhance project financing, the FCT Administration will also take into account its own resources.
However, he cautioned that contractors would not be allowed to make excuses.
To help the 36 federated states and the FCT lessen the effects of the elimination of fuel subsidies on the populace, the federal government approved billions of naira.
