Lagos Announces Start Date for 2023/2024 Academic Year Resumption
According to the 2023/2024 Harmonised Academic School Calendar that has been approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education, the Lagos State Government has ordered all schools up to the Tertiary Level to begin classes on Monday, September 4, 2023.
This information was provided in a Monday interview by Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA). She asked all institutions to strictly adhere to the resumed date in order to provide Lagos State with high-quality, long-lasting education.
She also urged owners and school administrators to enforce strict adherence to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, highlighting the necessity of full adherence to all safety protocols on school grounds for a safe learning environment as the State Government remains committed to protecting children.
