Council of State Wants CBN to Provide Notes or Reissue Old Ones

The policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria to redesign the naira has received approval from members of the Nigerian Council of State (CBN) but seeks its availability.

However, in order to ease Nigerians’ suffering, the council requested CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele to provide new naira notes or reissue old ones.

The gathering, which was held on Friday at the presidential house, was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
