Aisha Buhari Appointed To Lead 1,200 APC Women’s Campaign Team For Tinubu
Aisha Buhari, the president’s wife, has been chosen to head the Tinubu/Shettima Women’s Campaign Team for the presidency’s actualization in 2023. Besides, some first ladies in APC states have been appointed to coordinate the campaign in their various states.
The APC Women’s Campaign Team has 1,200 members in all, including Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the party’s presidential candidate, and Hajiya Nana Shettima, who serves as the team’s chair and co-chair, respectively.
This is stated in a statement made on Saturday in Abuja by Rinsola Abiola, the late Chief MKO Abiola’s daughter, who is also listed on the campaign team’s media and administrative committees.

Lauretta Onochie, a senior aide in the Presidency, will work with Asabe Vilita Bashir, a former representative from Borno, as the deputy national coordinator.
Dr. Zainab Baugudu, the Kebbi Governor’s wife, will oversee the women’s campaign in the North-West Zone, and Falmata Zulum, the First Lady of Borno State, will oversee it in the Northeast.
Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-olu, the wife of the Lagos Governor, will oversee the South-West campaign while Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the wife of the Kwara Governor, will oversee operations in the North-Central.
Chioma Ikeaka-Uzodinma, the first lady of Imo, will also oversee the South-East campaign, and Linda Ayade, the governor of Cross River, will lead the women’s campaign in the South-South.
APC state coordinators will be the governors’ wives in APC states, according to the announcement, while prominent APC women will lead states that are not under APC control.
According to the Nation, Florence Ajimobi, a former Oyo State governor’s widow, and Zainab Ibrahim, the APC’s deputy national women’s leader, were selected to oversee APC-unfriendly states.
