CKA Celebrates Excellent Achievements @ 9th Honours Day & 6th Graduation

It was time, once again at the City of Knowledge Academy, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State to celebrate and reward excellence, hard work, passion, efforts and good behavior among students and staff for the 2021/2022 school year as the hall was full beyond capacity on Sunday July 24, 2022.

Speaking on the topic ‘Building exceptional leaders’ Hon. (Mrs) Tolulope Akande-Sadipe the (put her position) charged the students to always see possibilities in all things, be humble, always dream with actions and be motivated.

The Head of school, Ms Abiola Lamikanra in her own remarks dared the Class of 2022 to be honest, to be exceptional, diligent, creative and exemplary to be the answer for good leadership that our society and indeed the world needs today.


She enumerated some of the school’s achievements for the year including 98% pass rate in the 2021 Cambridge IGCSE , and 100% pass rate in 2021 WASSCE. The school won the British Council’s International School Award (ISA 2021-2022). Two members of the graduating class , Divine Ihonde and Aliyah Adunola, are the current National winners of the 2022 Microsoft Office Specialist in Word and PowerPoint.

The Founder summarized her speech this way “ the single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development as leadership is not about being the best but about making everyone else better”.

She admonished the graduating class to go into the world of opportunities to conquer and impact the world positively.

The cynosure of all eyes was the 12 year old, Year 7 student , Segun Adekanbi who won 6 awards in different categories including academic and behavioral awards. He combined Best Brain with Best Behavior- good one!
The highlight of the occasion was the students dance performance that thrilled the audience.
