Flight Suffers Setback As Union Blocks Access To MMA2

Airlines may be compelled to stop flight operations as a result of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, ATSSSAN, action in the early hours of today, Tuesday.

According to Vanguard, the union blocked access to the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two, or MMA2, terminal in Lagos due to the firing of 34 members.

The union claimed that over the weekend, employees of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), the company that operates the MMA2, were fired without cause.

It was gathered that the union barricaded the facility at around two in the morning. in support of their fellow soldiers.

According to a source from the airport, previous attempts to fix the problems at various meetings had failed because BASL was not prepared to take action.

Another traveler who was headed to Abuja revealed that the unions had blocked all entrances, leaving the majority of passengers stranded outside and causing traffic chaos.

Additionally, earlier, Azman announced in a statement that “Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) is organizing an industrial action that will interrupt flight operations at the Domestic Terminal 2 at Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA2) starting on Tuesday, November 1.
