If You Can, Suspend Me, Wike Challenges The PDP

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has dared the PDP’s national leadership to suspend him if they so choose and prepare for the repercussions.

Wile said this during a live media interview in Port Harcourt, adding that if the party makes such a choice, they will know what he is capable of.

In response to the query of whether the retinue of visitors from other political parties that visited him in the midst of the party’s crisis did not constitute anti-party activities, Nyesom Wike gave this response.

Politicians from many parties were visiting the governor because, as he claimed, he was an asset.

I dare them to try it, Nyesom Wike remarked. They are aware of my skills. A child who claims his father won’t sleep won’t sleep either.

“If you are useful, people will approach you. Who is a charming woman whom people avoid interacting with?

He declared that the party’s national chairman should honour his pledge and stand down so that a Southerner might succeed him if he loves the party and wants it to win the upcoming elections.

Nyesom Wike said: “Ayu ought to honour his word and depart if he claims to love this party so dearly and to want it to prevail in elections.

“I heard that the national chairman of the PDP wants to be the secretary of the Government of the Federation if the PDP wins the election. Another person desires to lead the Senate.

They hold comparable positions. They induced resignation from the BoT chairman. Why did they not demand the resignation of the national chairman?

“Our lack of electoral success and our arrogance are the problems. They only know calling people names. Wike and his camp have done this and that. Why not deal with the problems?

“They claim that Nyesom Wike is unnecessary. Some of Atiku’s supporters are also his adversaries. He stated that several of them were from Edo.”
