Scores Killed As Boko and ISWAP Clash In Sambisa
Several terrorists are said to have been slain at Sambisa in fighting between the Jam’at Ahl as-Sunnah, lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihad Boko Haram, and the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Ali Ngulde, the renowned head of Boko Haram, led hundreds of fighters armed with weapons from Mandara Mountain to strike ISWAP positions in a huge onslaught against the rival group on December 3.
Makama, an intelligence source, said that the battle began in the Yuwe camp, resulting in a massive shootout.
The informant stated, Ngulde and his crew overcame the ISWAP members, neutralising at least 12 of them and seizing their weapons. According to the source, Boko Haram forces rapidly mobilised more soldiers from Abu Ikilima’s camp at Gaizuwa, Gabchari, Mantari, and Mallum Masari following the victory.”

On the night of December 4, Boko Haram split into two parties and stormed other ISWAP locations in Ukuba, Arra, and Sabil Huda, killing over 23 more fighters and stealing their guns, motorbikes, and bicycles.
Zagazola said, ”the ISWAP reinforcement squad was spotted around the axis of Kawuri and Aulari on Sunday night, December 4. Ba’ana Chingori, a key ISWAP leader, led a column of warriors to strike Boko Haram’s position in Farisu this morning, December 5”.
For some years now, the Boko Haram terrorist organisation has been engaged in deadly fighting with their former comrades, the ISWAP, which has resulted in the deaths of numerous warriors from both sides.
