Lalong Employs Ten Perm Secs 4 Months To Leave Office
The governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has named ten new permanent secretaries for the state with only four months left in his term.
Macham Makut, the governor’s director of press and public affairs, made the announcement on Monday.
A portion of the announcement read, “Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has authorised the appointment of 10 new permanent secretaries.
According to Lalong, they are to fill the openings left by the retirement or resignation of a few permanent secretaries working for the state government.

Keziah Dung (Barkin Ladi), Yusuf Gimba (Bassa), Gongden Sunday, Lamu Dennis, Peter Wuyep (Kanke), Bapman Emmanuel (Mikang), Boniface Bankshuet (Mikang), Gotan James (Pankshin), Salamatu Parlong (Pankshin), and Wuyep Zitta from the Langtang South LGA were the newly appointed permanent secretaries, according to the statement.
The announcement further noted that the new permanent secretaries would be sworn in on January 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Little Rayfield Jos’ Victoria Gowon Hall, the future Government House.
