Oyebanji, Sworn-in as Ekiti State Governor, Freezes State’s Account

Abiodun Oyebanji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been sworn-in as the governor of Ekiti State.

Oyebanji took his oath of office at the state’s government house on Sunday at about 12:53 pm.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji, hours after he was sworn in as state governor at Ado-Ekiti Ekiti’s Parapo Pavilion ordered that the State Government’s accounts be frozen immediately.

.In addition to freezing the account, Oyebanji schedules his first two appointments. He kept his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.

During Dr Kayode Fayemi’s first and second stints as governor, Oyebode served as his chief of staff.

According to a statement issued on Sunday evening by the Head of Service, Bamidele Agbede, headlined “Appointment of CPS,” “The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has appointed Mr Oyebode as the CPS to the Governor.” The position is effective immediately.”
