Unknown Armed Men Kill 3 APC Members In Osun

Around three people were killed in Ilesa, Osun State, after gunmen stormed the homes of some APC members in the early hours of Wednesday.
Timothy Owoeye, Speaker of the House of Assembly, narrowly escaped being killed when gunmen stormed his Groove Hill Hotel Ilesa around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
When contacted by phone Wednesday morning to confirm the attacks on him and his hotel, Owoeye told NPO Reports that it took many hours of gun battle with the assailants to dislodge them.
According to Owoeye, the hoodlums arrived at 2.05 a.m. and began shooting into the hotel.
“However, our men also engaged them,” he added.
Owoeye alleged that a House of Assembly candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party whose name he gave as Akerele (a.k.a Water) led those who came to attack him in his hotel.
NPO Reports was told that the attacks were looked a coordinated ones as other gunmen also went to attack a restaurant Bukateria belonging to a member of the House of Assembly from the area, Prince Wale Adedoyin.
It was also gathered that the gunmen visited car lot of a chieftain of the APC, Faworowa.
Owoeye however told the NPO Reports that three of the attackers have been arrested and are currently with the police.
As at the time of this report, attempt to speak with the spokeswoman of the Police Command in Osun Yemisi Opalola had not yielded result.
