While Attempting To Collect The Remainder Of The N300,000 Ransom, Two Kidnappers Were Arrested

While attempting to collect the remaining N300,000 ransom from the victim’s family, Mohammed Aminu and Salisu Sa’idu, two kidnappers, have been detained by the Gombe State Police Command.

The two kidnappers are detained by police
ASP Mahid Abubakar, the command spokesman, stated that the suspect received a N100,000 payment as compensation for kidnapping Jibrin Muhammad from Taraba State during the suspect’s parade on Tuesday.

According to Abubakar, a team from the State Criminal Investigation Department nabbed Sa’idu in Kano after opening an investigation, while Aminu was seized in Gombe.

According to Abubakar, “Detectives assigned to squad SCID Gombe while acting on credible intelligence intercepted one Mohammed Aminu of Tudun Wada quarters, Gombe, in the act of demanding N300,000 in ransom after N100,000 was put into a Jaiz Bank account number bearing Mohammed Al’amin Muhammad.

“During the course of the investigation, the suspect disclosed that he and one Saidu Salisu alias Soja and Turkani had engaged in criminal planning, armed themselves with three AK-47 rifles, and abducted Jibrin Muhammad of Bantaje village via Wukari LGA of Taraba State before demanding N4,000,000 as ransom.

Salisu Sa’idu was detained by SCID Gombe detectives in Kano State after an investigation, and the case is currently being looked into. They will then be prosecuted.

In order to stop crime, Abubakar urged state people to offer the command with reliable intelligence, emphasising that the identity of the sources would not be compromised.

According to KanyiDaily, the police also detained two alleged kidnappers who were thought to be responsible for the murder of two people.
