YABATECH Rector Inspires Nigerian Youths to Unleash Innovative Solutions for Today’s Challenges
In a bid to raise youths that are technology driven based, the Rector, Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Abdul has counseled Nigerian youths to evolve inventions for solving present days challenges that would advance the nation.
During his welcome address at CODEAVOUR 5.0 Coding & Artificial Intelligence International Competition hosted by YABATECH, the Rector said “I was glad to welcome innovative personnel to the College, and it is obvious that today’s world is being championed by advanced technology”.
He hinted that students are taking up the challenges which most of the elders have abandoned, because our society of today and tomorrow will be technologically inclined.
According to him “We are all here today to witness how students from various schools will apply technology to solve the problem of the present and the future, looking at how our children are proffering solution to the challenges of the world through technology called Artificial Intelligence is a wonderful innovation that we should all support”.
“YABATECH is dedicated to the development of the country that is why we are hosting this competition, to showcase students that will go ahead to represent Nigeria internationally”.
The Country’s Partner and founder of the Competition, Beebahtics Enterprise, Mrs. Habeebah Ibrahim in her keynote address, disclosed that 200 entries were recorded for the competition, and through stages in the competition the entries had been reduced to 30, which are the finalist.
Ibrahim explained that the winner of the championship will represent Nigeria in International competition in Dubai, and thereby appreciated 50 partners that were responsible for the Codeavour 5.0 International championship.
She noted that Codeavour is a prestigious annual worldwide championship that attracts and engages thousands of young minds in Coding and Artificial Intelligence challenges, championed by the Stem giant, Stempedia.
Codeavour serves as a platform for our next generation of innovators to showcase their talents, creativity and problem-solving abilities; she said.
In her words,” for us as the Country Partner, Beebathics Enterprise has taken this opportunity to present to Nigerians an exclusive opportunity to be showcased on a world stage with finalists emerging today to represent our country, Nigeria, at the International championship. It is indeed an honour to to be a very significant part of the over 70 countries with over 114,000 teams, and over 50 training partners participating in this championship this year”.
