ASUU Directs Its Members to Join NLC National Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has joined the nationwide indefinite strike declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).

In a circular signed by Emmanuel Osodeke, the National President of the Union, ASUU directed its members to join the strike starting from Monday midnight.

The union is affirming its solidarity with the NLC and TUC and urging its members to participate in the action.

The strike is a response to the alleged assault on the NLC President by the Nigerian police and the Imo State government.
