Bode George Walks Out On PDP NEC Meeting

Chief Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has walked out of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

It was gathered that Bode George’s reasons for staging a walk out was not known but he was heard complaining about the happenings in the meeting.

While walking out, he was quoted to have said “I am tired. I can not continue to listen to what is going on over there. I have series of meetings to attend,”

Meanwhile, the party’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Jibrin Walid has resigned from his position.

Walid made the announcement during the party’s National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

He stated that his move was part of efforts to solve the crisis rocking the PDP and to ensure the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s emergence as president in 2023.

“I am stepping down as the chairman of BoT. I am stepping down to make it easier for all of us,” he stated.

Wabara was also appointed as the Political Adviser of the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
