Terrorists kidnap 807 ECWA Members In Kaduna – Cleric
The Evangelical Church Winning Ways (ECWA) reported that in only 2022, terrorists kidnapped 807 of its members in separate attacks in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
The church also said that a number of other members, including its pastors, were killed, and that 70 additional members are still being held captive by bandits and remain unaccounted for.
Reverend Timothy Maigida, the chairman of the ECWA Kasuwan Magani District Council, said during a news conference on Thursday that the majority of the attacks occurred inside churches while worshippers were attending their weekly or Sunday services.

He bemoaned how local socioeconomic and church activities had been impacted by the rising occurrence of banditry and kidnapping.
However, he urged the security services to take greater initiative and step up their presence in rural areas, where the majority of bandit attacks occur.
The Cleric of ECWA Church also urged the authorities to take care of the thousands of displaced persons dispersed over the region.
