These centres, according to the Board, failed to meet the technical benchmarks necessary to ensure a smooth examination experience for candidates.

1. Adventure Associate, Behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State.
2. Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano, Kano State.
3. Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
4. Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
5. Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited, Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Mbaitoli, Imo State.
6. Iko Sai Allah ICT Network Global, No. 548, Yammata Gari, Opposite Kokiya Silling Station, Rijiyar-Lemo, Kano, Kano State.
7. HSS Amazing, Holy Saviour School, 30/32 Old Ota Road, Adeleye, Aparadua, Isunba Lafenwa, Itele, Ogun State.

According to the Board, these centres were unable to meet the strict technical standards required for the ongoing UTME, and as such, were immediately removed from the list of approved CBT centres.

JAMB Reiterates Commitment to Examination Integrity

Speaking through its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on JAMB Delists UTME Centres, the Board reiterated its unwavering dedication to upholding ethical and technical standards. He emphasized that no centre, regardless of its ownership or affiliation, will be spared if it fails to meet JAMB’s operational benchmarks.

“JAMB will not compromise the credibility of the UTME. Any CBT centre that falls short of our technical or ethical standards will be blacklisted without hesitation,” Benjamin asserted.

Moreover, JAMB commended the 883 CBT centres across the country that have consistently demonstrated excellence throughout the examination process. Their performance, according to the Board, sets the benchmark for others to follow.

Candidates Advised to Reprint Exam Slips

In light of the delisting, candidates who were originally scheduled to sit their exams at any of the affected centres have been urged to immediately reprint their examination slips. This reprinting will allow them to access their new centre assignments and rescheduled exam dates.

As of Saturday, April 26, 2025, more than 900,000 candidates out of the 2,030,900 registered have successfully written their UTME. The examination is progressing smoothly nationwide, with only isolated incidents being reported.

Impersonators Arrested and Handed Over to Police

This development highlights the Board’s ongoing efforts to sanitize the examination environment and ensure only deserving candidates gain admission into Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.

Hijab Incident at Caleb University Promptly Addressed

Meanwhile, JAMB has responded swiftly to a troubling report involving unauthorized restrictions placed on hijab-wearing candidates at Caleb University, one of the accredited CBT centres.

According to the Board, a misguided security officer attempted to enforce a discriminatory rule. However, immediate intervention by both JAMB and the university leadership resolved the issue.

Dr. Benjamin praised the Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University for his prompt condemnation of the incident. “We commend the institution’s leadership for acting swiftly and ensuring no candidate was unfairly treated,” he said.

He also offered sincere apologies to all affected candidates and reaffirmed JAMB’s commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of all candidates, regardless of their religious background.
