FG Sacks 9, Forced 25 NCS Officers Into Retirement

Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa has announced the sack of nine officers and 25 others forced into retirement due to wrongdoing.

Umar Abubakar, a spokesman for the service, reported on Sunday that four further people received letters of caution.

According to the announcement, the judgments were announced by the controller-general of the service, Haliru Nababa, following approval by the boards for civil defence, corrections, fire, and immigration.

The public was given the reassurance that the service would not stop trying to purge the undesirables from its employees.

The director of prisons issued a warning that laziness and indiscipline would not be tolerated within the organisation.

Additionally, Mr. Nababa reaffirmed that the service was prepared to commend the dedication and hard work of jail staff.

Staff with extraordinary performance will soon be recognised by the Reward Fund Unit, which has been fully operational.

“The Reward Fund Unit is completely operational, and soon, employees who do very well will be called to Abuja. According to Mr. Nababa, this will be their reward for their courage and devotion to duty.
