A visitation panel on private health training institutions in Katsina State has revealed alarming levels of noncompliance with regulatory and professional standards. The panel’s findings indicate that only nine out of 31 private health training institutions in Katsina meet the required operational benchmarks, raising concerns about the quality of healthcare education in the state.

The panel, established by the State Governor, Dikko Radda, was inaugurated on October 25, 2024, with a mandate to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of private health training institutions. Governor Dikko Radda, while receiving the report during the State Executive Council meeting, commended the panel for conducting a thorough evaluation. “We must ensure that only qualified institutions are allowed to operate in the State,” Governor Radda emphasized.
